“Dos  historias,  un camino (Two Stories, one Journey)” is a musical encounter between the Arabic-Andalusian and the flamenco cultures.  Although initially they were from different epochs they coincide in a time and place where both were marginalized. With this show, the depth of flamenco singing and the lyric poetry of Andalusian moaxajas and zejeles are united, accompanied by the beauty and passion of flamenco dance, in a fusion “jonda”, exquisite in flavor, and with a fragrance as fresh as the breeze of the summer nights of the Alhambra…

The Hamid Ajbar Flamenco Fusión ensemble, founded in 2016 in Granada by Hamid Ajbar, delves into Arab-Andalusian music and Flamenco to create an authentic fusion between the two traditions. During this show, they perform together with the Dutch-Moroccan virtuoso oud player Mohamed Ahaddaf and percussionist Emad Ghajjou from the Marmoucha Orchestra and
are accompanied by the talented Flamenco dancer Eva Manzano, Flamenco singer Alberto Funes, and Switzerland’s best Flamenco guitarist, Puchero.

“Dos Historias, Un Camino – Zwei Geschichten, ein Weg” is de naam van een show waarbij een buitengewone ontmoeting van muziek en dans tussen twee culturen plaatsvindt, de Arabisch-Andalusische en de Flamenco. Hoewel ze oorspronkelijk uit verschillende tijdperken stammen, komen ze samen in de tijd en op de plek waar ze allebei gemarginaliseerd werden. Met deze show worden de diepte van de Flamenco-zang en de lyrische poëzie van de Andalusische Moaxajas-poëzie en Zajals samengebracht. Het wordt begeleid door de schoonheid en passie
van de Flamenco-dans, in een “Jondo”-fusie, vol met exquise aroma’s en een geur die zo fris is als de bries van de zomernachten van de Alhambra.
Het Hamid Ajbar Flamenco Fusión ensemble, opgericht in 2016 in Granada door Hamid Ajbar, verdiept zich in de Arabisch-Andalusische muziek en de Flamenco
om een authentieke fusie tussen de twee tradities te creëren. Tijdens deze show treden ze samen op met de Nederlands-Marokkaanse virtuoze ud-speler
Mohamed Ahaddaf en percussionist Emad Ghajjou van het Marmoucha Orchestra en worden ze begeleid door de getalenteerde Flamenco-danseres Eva Manzano, de Flamenco-zanger Alberto Funes en de beste Flamenco-gitarist van Zwitserland, Puchero.
