Electrifying Gnawa: Marmoucha Orchestra, Prace en Saad Tiouly – Live op het L’Boulevard Festival, Casablanca!

Ervaar de betoverende magie van Gnawa-muziek met nieuwe composities en een unieke samenwerking met leden van Marmoucha Orchestra, de remixartiest en DJ Prace uit Nederland, samen met de getalenteerde muzikant Saad Tiouly uit Casablanca.

Gnawa-muziek, bekend als “Sufi Blues,” weeft ritmes en spirituele rituelen uit Afrikaanse, Arabisch-Islamitische en Berberse culturen samen en viert vrijheid en harmonie. In deze uitzonderlijke fusie van culturen combineert Marmoucha de rijke muzikale uitwisseling tussen de MENA-regio en Europa, en creëert zo een innovatief geluid waarbij het erfgoed van Gnawa vermengd wordt met elektronische elementen.

In deze buitengewone muzikale samenwerking legt Saad Tiouly de basis met rauwe Gnawa-composities, terwijl Prace de elektronische magie toevoegt, en Avishai Darash pianoelementen aan de gezamenlijke composities toevoegt, waardoor harmonieuze structuren ontstaan en ruimte wordt gelaten voor improvisaties door Alvaro Jimenez op trompet en Mohamed Ahaddaf op de ud. Deze improvisaties geven de uitvoering een verrassend en organisch element. Samen creëren ze een betoverende fusie van Gnaoua  Elektronische muziek, waar traditie moderne innovatie viert. Het project nodigt je uit om mee te gaan op een reis door onze collectieve verbeelding en bevordert een gevoel van eenheid zowel lokaal als wereldwijd.
