Voor deze speciale gelegenheid presenteert het Marmoucha Orchestra zich als een verfijnd Kwintet. Op 2 september brengen zij een selectie van intrigerende composities en arrangementen ten gehore uit hun recent verschenen albums “Ana W’Inta” en “Andalusian Love Song”. Werken van Mohamed Ahaddaf en Avishai Darash, samen met arrangementen van Maripepa Contreras en Arin Keshishi, worden opnieuw geïnterpreteerd, waarbij de essentie op een frisse en vernieuwende manier belicht wordt.

Dit vijfkoppige ensemble omvat virtuoze muzikanten die de ud, piano, diverse percussie-instrumenten, trompet en contrabas bespelen. Hun samenspel creëert een sonore tapestry die de luisteraar meeneemt op een muzikale reis, waarbij Andalusische muziek, Arabische melodieën, de improvisatorische vrijheid van jazz en mediterrane tradities samenkomen.

For this special occasion, the Marmoucha Orchestra presents itself as a refined Quintet. On September 2nd, they will perform a selection of intriguing compositions and arrangements from their recently released albums “Ana W’Inta” and “Andalusian Love Song.” Works by Mohamed Ahaddaf and Avishai Darash, along with arrangements by Maripepa Contreras and Arin Keshishi, are reinterpreted, shedding light on their essence in a fresh and innovative way.

This five-member ensemble comprises virtuoso musicians who play the oud, piano, various percussion instruments, trumpet, and double bass. Their collaboration creates a sonorous tapestry that takes the listener on a musical journey, blending Andalusian music, Arabic melodies, the improvisational freedom of jazz, and Mediterranean traditions.
