Op zaterdag 28 juni is Marmoucha Orchestra te gast op het Imagine Zomerfestival van het Muziekpakhuis in Podium Mozaïek, Amsterdam. Dit jaarlijkse festival vormt de feestelijke afsluiting van het lesseizoen en staat dit jaar in het teken van verbeelding: “Imagine dat we allemaal samen muziek zouden maken, daar zou de wereld enorm van opknappen!“

Workshop: speel mee met Marmoucha Orchestra

Om 17:40 geven leden van Marmoucha Orchestra een interactieve workshop waarin deelnemers kunnen kennismaken met de hypnotiserende ritmes en klankkleuren uit Noord-Afrika en het Midden-Oosten. Iedereen is welkom om mee te doen,muzikale ervaring is niet vereist. De week ervoor is er ook al een voorbereidende workshop waar je je gratis voor aan kunt melden. Deze vindt plaats op 20 juni van 19:30 tot 21:30 in het Muziekpakhuis. Inschrijven voor (een van) beide workshops op 20 en/of 28 juni kan via info@muziekpakhuis.nl.

Slotconcert: Marmoucha Orchestra x Muziekpakhuis

Om 21:00 sluit het Marmoucha Orchestra samen met docenten van het Muziekpakhuis het festival af met een feestelijk en meeslepend concert. Met muziek geïnspireerd op de SWANA-regio (Zuidwest-Azië en Noord-Afrika) en de Mediterrane wereld belooft het een avond vol ritme, improvisatie en culturele diversiteit te worden <3

Marmoucha Orchestra @ Imagine Zomerfestival – Podium Mozaïek

On Saturday 28 June, Marmoucha Orchestra is invited at the Imagine Summer Festival of the Muziekpakhuis, taking place at Podium Mozaïek in Amsterdam. This annual festival marks the festive end of the teaching season and is dedicated this year to the theme of imagination: “Imagine if we all made music together – the world would be so much better for it!”

Workshop: play along with Marmoucha Orchestra

At 17:40, members of Marmoucha Orchestra will lead an interactive workshop, introducing participants to the hypnotic rhythms and soundscapes of North Africa and the Middle East. Everyone is welcome to join – no musical experience required.
A preparatory workshop will also take place a week earlier, on 20 June from 19:30 to 21:30 at the Muziekpakhuis. You can register for one or both workshops (on 20 and/or 28 June) by emailing info@muziekpakhuis.nl.

Closing concert: Marmoucha Orchestra x Muziekpakhuis

At 21:00, Marmoucha Orchestra and teachers from the Muziekpakhuis will close the festival with a festive and captivating concert. Featuring music inspired by the SWANA region (Southwest Asia and North Africa) and the Mediterranean, it promises to be an evening full of rhythm, improvisation and cultural richness. <3
