About Marmoucha Orchestra &  DeDeXgrande from the Netherlands

Marmoucha Orchestra unites musicians from diverse cultures.

• They are joined by DeDeXgrande, aka Efe Erdem, a skilled producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist. As project leader, DeDeXgrande adds trombone, trumpet, and live electronic performances.
• Maripepa Contreras with Spanish roots is one of the best jazz oboists in the world and a talented arranger and composer known for her captivating improvisations.
• Mohamed Ahaddaf is a highly talented oud player, composer and musician from Morocco, with firm roots in Andalusian culture.
• Emad Ghajjou is a percussionist with a broad musical background and a specialization in Andalusian music.

About Aziz Ozouss

Aziz Ozouss is a passionate rebab player & vocalist, and an interpreter of Amazigh music from Southern Morocco.

• He is rightly considered the future of Amazigh music.
• With an authentic approach, Aziz embodies the rich depth of Amazigh culture.
• While remaining committed to preserving traditional music, he embraces innovation by building a bridge to contemporary and Western musical expressions.

The collaboration

Marmoucha Orchestra with DeDeXgrande and Aziz Ozouss unite to form an electrifying fusion of Amazigh & Electronic music. The performance is enriched by improvisations and unique arrangements from the Marmoucha Orchestra. They blend Amazigh and North African sounds with other traditional and electronic elements, celebrating heritage and innovation.

DeDeXgrande integrates elements of EDM (Electronic Dance Music), contributing to a fresh and unique sound. This exciting new musical experience creates an energetic, danceable atmosphere. • Maripepa Contreras met Spaanse wortels is een van de beste jazz-hoboïsten ter wereld en een getalenteerd arrangeur en componist bekend van haar bezwerende improvisaties.
• Mohamed Ahaddaf is een zeer getalenteerde ud-speler, componist en muzikant uit Marokko met stevige wortels in de Andalusische cultuur.
• Emad Ghajjou is een percussionist met een brede muzikale achtergrond en een specialisatie in Andalusische muziek.

Aziz Ozouss is een gepassioneerde rebab-speler & zanger, en een vertolker van de Amazigh muziek uit Zuid-Marokko.

• Hij wordt terecht gezien als de toekomst van de Amazigh muziek.
• Met een authentieke benadering belichaamt Aziz de rijke diepte van de Amazigh-cultuur.
• Terwijl hij trouw blijft aan zijn streven om de traditionele muziek te behouden, omarmt hij vernieuwing door een brug te slaan naar hedendaagse en westerse muzikale expressies.

De samenwerking 

Marmoucha Orchestra, DeDeXgrande en Aziz Ozouss bundelen hun krachten om een elektrificerende fusie van Amazigh & elektronische muziek te presenteren. De uitvoering wordt verrijkt door improvisaties en unieke arrangementen van het Marmoucha Orchestra. Ze combineren moderne beats met traditionele Berber-ritmes, van de oorspronkelijke inwoners van Noord-Afrika, de Imazighen, en vieren zo erfgoed en innovatie.

DeDeXgrande integreert elementen van EDM (Electronic Dance Music), wat bijdraagt aan een fris en uniek geluid. Deze opwindende nieuwe muzikale ervaring creëert een energieke, dansbare sfeer.
