Fluitist
Marta Gonçalves Vilaça is een Portugese fluitiste die haar muziekstudies begon op 8-jarige leeftijd aan de Academia de Música S. Pio X. In 2014 begon ze te studeren aan het Conservatório de Música do Porto, in de klas van Daniela Anjo. Ze nam deel aan verschillende competities en behaalde de 3e plaats in de editie van 2017 van het ‘Concurso Jovem’, de 1e plaats in het ‘Concurso Interno do Conservatório de Música do Porto’, de 1e prijs in de internationale competitie ‘José Massarrão’, de prijs ‘Casa da Música’ en de 2e prijs bij het ‘Prinses Christina Concours’.
In 2019 werd ze geselecteerd om deel uit te maken van het Nederlands Jeugdorkest en het Jong Metropole. In 2021 trad ze op als solist met het Stichting Talent op Podium Orkest en in 2023 werd ze geselecteerd om deel uit te maken van het Portugese Jeugdorkest. Als invaller heeft ze gespeeld bij het Concertgebouw Orkest, Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa en Marmoucha Orchestra.
Marta heeft haar bachelordiploma behaald aan het Conservatorium Van Amsterdam in de klas van Kersten McCall en is momenteel bezig met het afronden van een master in muziekonderwijs aan de Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo. Ze werkt als muziekleraar aan de Escola de Artes da Vila en de Maestro’s Music School
Marta Gonçalves Vilaça is a Portuguese flute player who began her musical studies at the age of 8 at Academia de Música S. Pio X. In 2014, she started studying at Conservatório de Música do Porto under the guidance of Daniela Anjo. She has participated in several competitions, achieving 3rd place in the 2017 edition of the ‘Concurso Jovem’, 1st place in the ‘Concurso Interno do Conservatório de Música do Porto’, 1st Prize in the International Competition ‘José Massarrão’, the ‘Casa da Música’ Prize, and 2nd prize at the ‘Prinses Christina Concours’.
In 2019, she was selected to join the Netherlands Youth Orchestra and the Jong Metropole. In 2021, she performed as a soloist with the Stichting Talent op Podium Orkest, and in 2023, she was chosen to be part of the Portuguese Youth Orchestra. She has also served as a substitute with the Concertgebouw Orkest, Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa, and Marmoucha Orchestra.
Marta completed her bachelor’s degree at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam under the tutelage of Kersten McCall. Currently, she is finishing a master’s degree in music teaching at Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo. She works as a music teacher at Escola de Artes da Vila and Maestro’s Music School.
