“…Het was een gigantisch feest toen het Nederlandse Marmoucha Orchestra het podium van Hal 7.1 op jazzahead veroverde. Met uitbundige klanken, die vaak gebaseerd zijn op traditionele Marokkaanse muziek, veranderde de groep, samen met hun speciale gast Mehdi Nassouli op de guembri—een driesnarige luit met een leren klankkast—de zaal in een danspaleis. Hun programma, getiteld “Sonic Bridges”, werd gepresenteerd als onderdeel van de rol van Nederland als partnerland, en ze hebben werkelijk muzikale bruggen gebouwd. De muziek was een onophoudelijk vuurwerk: intens, luid en meeslepend…”
