Op vrijdagavond 20 juni organiseert het Muziekpakhuis een bijzondere gratis workshop onder leiding van twee topmusici uit het Marmoucha Orchestra: Mohammed Ahaddaf (ud) en Claudio Spieler (percussie).

Tijdens deze workshop maak je kennis met de rijke en ritmisch complexe muziek uit de SWANA-regio (Noord-Afrika en het Midden-Oosten). Je leert spelen met de traditionele grooves, melodieën en improvisaties die kenmerkend zijn voor deze muzikale tradities.

👥 Iedereen kan meedoen, ongeacht niveau of ervaring!
🎶 Alle instrumenten zijn welkom, of je nu snaar-, blaas-, toets- of slaginstrument speelt.

28 juni: nog een workshop tijdens het Imagine Zomerfestival!

Kun je er op 20 juni niet bij zijn? Tijdens het Imagine Zomerfestival op 28 juni geeft Marmoucha Orechstra nog een korte workshop in Podium Mozaïek. Een tweede kans om mee te doen!

During this workshop, you’ll explore the rich and rhythmically complex music from the SWANA region (North Africa and the Middle East). You’ll learn to play with the traditional grooves, melodies and improvisations that define these musical traditions.

👥 Everyone is welcome, regardless of level or experience!
🎶 All instruments are invited, whether you play strings, wind, keys or percussion.

28 June: another workshop during the Imagine Summer Festival!

Can’t make it on 20 June? During the Imagine Summer Festival on 28 June, the Marmoucha Orchestra will give a short follow-up workshop at Podium Mozaïek. A second chance to join in!
