Violist
De Braziliaanse violist André Felipe Lima is opgegroeid in São Paulo waar hij lid was van het São Paulo State Youth Orchestra. Hij studeerde bij enkele vooraanstaande viooldocenten van Brazilië – Elisa Fukuda en Claudio Cruz. Op diverse festivals zoals “Campos do Jordão”, kreeg hij de kans om met gerenommeerde musici vanover de hele wereld te werken: Marin Alsop, Andreas Ottensamer, Antonio Meneses, Giancarlo Guerrero, Pascal Tortelier, Kees Hulsman en Maria João Pires.
Vijf jaar geleden ontving hij een speciale talentenbeurs om aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam te kunnen studeren bij Peter Brunt. Naast het Ciconia Consort, speelt hij bij Kamerata Zuid en het Libero Strijkorkest. André heeft ook een grote interesse in muziekgenres als jazz en latin, en concerteert hiermee in meerdere ensembles.
Brazilian violinist André Felipe Lima grew up in São Paulo, where he was a member of the São Paulo State Youth Orchestra. He studied with renowned violin teachers Elisa Fukuda and Claudio Cruz in Brazil. At various festivals such as “Campos do Jordão,” he had the opportunity to collaborate with esteemed musicians from around the world, including Marin Alsop, Andreas Ottensamer, Antonio Meneses, Giancarlo Guerrero, Pascal Tortelier, Kees Hulsman, and Maria João Pires.
Five years ago, he received a special talent scholarship to study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam under Peter Brunt. In addition to his involvement with the Ciconia Consort, he also plays with Kamerata Zuid and the Libero String Orchestra. André has a great interest in music genres such as jazz and Latin, and performs with multiple ensembles in these styles.
