Specialisation in Flamenco
De Amsterdamse Conchita Boon begon met dansen toen ze nog maar zes jaar oud was. Ze verhuisde een periode naar Andalusië en kwam daar in contact met flamenco. Ze volgde verschillende flamenco masterclasses gegeven door belangrijke dansers als: Rafaela Carrasco, Farruquito, Ana Morales en vele anderen die hebben bijgedragen aan haar flamenco carrière.
Inmiddels is ze weer terug in Nederland en werkt ze aan haar eigen choreografieën en geeft flamencolessen op dansscholen in Nederland en Duitsland. Ze werkt op grote evenementen als Flamenco Biënnale Nederland met verschillende grote artiesten. In haar dans zoekt ze altijd naar nieuwe wegen. Ze werkt met improvisatie, met wat er in haar leven en in de wereld gebeurd en is altijd op zoek naar vernieuwende bewegingen en choreografieën in verbinding met Flamenco.
Amsterdam-born Conchita Boon started dancing when she was just 6 years old. She later moved to Andalusia and while there, she discovered flamenco. She attended several flamenco master classes hosted by renowned dancers such as Rafaela Carrasco, Farruquito, Ana Morales and many others – who all contributed to her career as a flamenco dancer.
Conchita has since returned to the Netherlands and is working on her own choreographies as well as giving flamenco classes at dance schools in the Netherlands and Germany. She works at large events such as the Flamenco Biennale Netherlands, with a host of famous artists. In her dance, Conchita is always looking for innovation. She works with improv, with what is happening in the world, and is always looking for new movements and choreographies connected to flamenco.
